Farm Bureau calls for speakers at national conference

By SUNNY ANDERSEN

The American Farm Bureau Federation is accepting proposals for workshops and presentations for the 1,100-plus farmers, ranchers and Farm Bureau staff from across the country who will attend the 2023 FUSION Conference March 3-6, 2023, in Jacksonville, Fla.

Held every other year, the FUSION Conference brings together members of the Farm Bureau Promotion & Education, Women’s Leadership and the Young Farmers and Ranchers programs to exchange ideas and sharpen their leadership skills.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network, share their experiences and identify future needs with fellow Farm Bureau members and staff.

Submissions for speaking topics must be made by noon Eastern Time (or 11 a.m. here) Monday, Aug. 1 via the online submission form.

The workshops and presentations should stimulate discussion and engagement, meet the variety of interests of conference attendees, promote balanced and forward-thinking, and provide attendees with knowledge and action-items they can apply to their own operations.

Desired breakout session topic areas include:

• Collegiate/Young Professional

• Consumer Engagement

• Member Engagement and Leadership Development

• Innovation and Niche Marketing

• On the Farm

• Policy and Advocacy

Topic areas should provide relevant educational information for the attendees. Conference workshops and presentations must be issue-oriented and content rich and may not be used to sell products and services.

Applicants will be contacted by mid-October if their proposal has been accepted and informed of what happens next. For more information on how to submit a proposal, visit here.
