Free Halloween Fun at Library in Yoakum

Contributed Report

Everyone is invited to a Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, Oct. 28 from 6–8:30/9 p.m. at the Carl and Mary Welhausen Library in Yoakum.  This Free event will provide you and your family with loads of fun, laughter, and time together.

Don’t forget to wear your costume; prizes will be awarded to those that are the funniest, scariest, and best overall. Fill up your candy bag at the “Trunk or Treat,” play games, create a themed scratch art piece, get an answer to your “burning” question, take pictures in front of the Halloween blow-ups (bring your own camera), snack on some tasty treats, and enjoy a family movie on the back lawn. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and pillows, and get comfortable to watch…The Nightmare….? planned to start sometime between 7-7:30 p.m. Glow jewelry/toys will also be for sale.

Parents are asked to accompany their child(ren) as this is a family event; please do not just drop your kids off, as this is a safety concern. If you have any questions, contact the library during normal operating hours at 361-293-5001.
