Yoakum volleyball: Win over Edna gives Yoakum 11 wins of 12 district matches

Macie Blakeney had 29 assists with Samantha Adamek and Macie Williams each getting two blocks as Yoakum won at Edna in three games 25-13, 26-24, 25-21 on Oct. 18.
Addison Pekar had five kills, two digs, one block; Blakeney also had nine digs, four aces, one kill; Deazia Rios had 17 digs, one ace; Destiny Rios finished with 11 digs, six kills; Jayana Phillips added 12 digs, 10 kills; Madison Gonzales had four digs, two aces; Olivia Fojt had eight digs, two aces; Adamek also had five kills, one dig; Macie Williams had five digs, four kills, three aces, two blocks.
Subvarsity
Yoakum won the junior varsity match 18-25, 25-21, 15-9 and Edna won the freshman game, 25-16, 18-25, 20-18.
