St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Cards work for 34-28 win at Waldorf

Kristin Cerny bagged eight points to lead St. Paul to a 34-28 road win against Austin Waldorf in St. Paul’s only game last week after a bye on Jan. 17 and Austin San Juan was unable to field a team for Friday’s schedule game at St. Paul.
The Lady Cardinals took a 9-8 lead after the first frame and was up 19-10 at halftime. Waldorf got back in game in the third quarter with a 10-4 run to trail just 24-20; St. Paul pulled away with a 10-8 run in the fourth frame.
