    St. Paul baseball team shut out San Marcos Academy and beat Sacred Heart in two road games last week.

    The Cardinals brought in seven runs in the top of the seventh to put the icing on the cake of an 11-0 win at San Marcos Academy on March 22.
    St. Paul opened scoring with two runs in the top of the second and scored two more in the fourth inning.
    Blaine Humes led St. Paul at the plate with two hits, double and three runs scored. Nate Boedeker, Carter Novak, Jacob Wachsmuth and Jacob Seibert all got an extra-base hit.
    The Cardinals had Jackson Ulcak, Zeke Rodriguez, Boedeker and Humes combined on the mound to hold the Bears to one hit.
    Rodriguez had four putouts in the field.

    The Cardinals scored four runs in the top of the fifth to break a 1-1 tie in a 6-1 win at rival Sacred Heart on Thursday. St. Paul scored once more in the top of the seventh.
    Each team scored one run during their first time to bat.
    At the plate, Humes got three hit and had one RBI while Boedeker was 2-for-4 with two runs, triple and RBI.
    Ulcak struck out 13 with one run on four hits, one batter hit and two walks.
    Boedeker made five putouts in the field.
