Shiner Public Library Summer Reading Program beginning June 7

The 2023 Shiner Public Library Summer Reading Program will start on Wednesday, June 7 and conclude on Tuesday, July 11. Programs are held from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
This year’s Summer Reading program will feature: (June 7) The Magic of John O’Bryant,  (June 14) Jennifer Rawlings/Science Emporoum, (June 21) Texas Snakes and More and (June 28) Magic. No program will be held on July 5.
The theme this year is “Full Steam Ahead”.
On Tuesday, July 11, there will be a foam party/big time bubbles, prize drawing and reading certificates will be presented.
Registration for the 2023 Reading Program continues until spots are full. All children age 4 through grade 4 are encouraged to register.
NO NEW LIBRARY CARDS will be issued during our reading program session hours. If your child does not have a bar-coded library card, they will not be able to check out any materials on the first day. New/updated cards will be issued during regular business hours, but not during the reading program session hours.
There is no charge to attend the program and all children from Shiner and surrounding areas are encouraged to sign up!
