    Six students attended the annual Youth Quilt Class sponsored by the Shiner Heritage Quilters Guild on June 26 – 29, 2023.   McKenzie Kessler, Madeline Collins and Hannah Machacek made “Disappearing Nine-Patch” quilts and Rena Pierce, Ana Lowe and Alma Lowe made “Rail Fence” quilts.  Guild members who assisted the students include Irene Cerny, Mary Shafer, Bernadette Kresta, Benie Gerdes, Wilma Williams, Sarah Collins, Janet Zabranksy, Rose Mary Havlik and Debbie Novosad.

                The Guild recognizes the Shiner Methodist Church for the use of the Fellowship Hall, The Square Quilter for assisting with supplies and SouthStar Bank of Shiner for donating supply bags that the members decorated with quilt blocks.
