St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Cards JV get third in Moulton
The St. Paul Lady Cardinal junior varsity went 1-1 in the Moulton Tournament on Saturday to earn third place and played at San Marcos Hill Country Christian on Thursday.

Moulton 24, St. Paul 17
Jenna Stock scored six points as St. Paul opened with a 24-17 loss to host Moulton.
The Kittens took a 9-4 lead after the first frame and St. Paul scored four of seven points in the second box to trail 12-8 at halftime.
Moulton went on an 8-3 run in the third quarter and St. Paul scored six of 10 points in the fourth period.

Nora Koch scored 10 points and Faith Brown had eight points to lead the Lady Cardinals to a 28-14 win over Bastrop Tribe.
Tribe led 6-4 after the first frame and St. Paul went on a 13-3 run for a 17-9 halftime lead before outscoring Tribe 9-1 in the third frame and 2-1 in the final quarter.

Karis Barta scored 21 points and Faith Brown put in 17 points to lead the St Paul Lady Cardinals to a 56-20 rout of San Marcos Hill Country Christian Thursday in San Marcos.
St. Paul opened pretty strong with a 19-4 run in the opening quarter and scored 16 of 20 points in the second period for a 35-7 halftime lead.
The Lady Cardinals did not let up, going on a 12-9 run in the third and outscoring SMHCC by five, 9-4, in the fourth period.
