St. Paul boys basketball: Cards beat Waldorf, fall to San Juan Diego
St. Paul defeated Austin Waldorf and lost to Austin San Juan Diego in back-to-back games last Friday and Saturday.

Jack Ehrig hit 13 points and Sam Perez deposited 11 points as the Cardinals reversed an earlier loss to Austin Waldorf with a 42-22 win on Friday.
St. Paul led 14-6 after the first quarter and outscored the Roadrunners 13-4 in the second frame for a 27-1 halftime lead.
Waldorf outscored the Cardinals 6-4 in the third quarter and St. Paul returned the favor with a 9-4 run in the fourth period.
Mays bagged nine points to lead Waldorf.

Austin San Juan Diego went on a 17-3 run to rally from 32-20 halftime deficit to edge the Cardinals 50-45 on Saturday. San Juan scored 13 of 23 points in the fourth quarter to build on a 37-35 lead. St. Paul led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter and outscored San Juan 14-12 in the secondbox.
Gabe Darilek led the Cardinals with nine points; Matteo Aceves led all scorers with 22 points and Joaquin Monres finished with 11 points.
