St. Paul softball: Lady Cards rout FBAP to advance to state for third straight year

Out of St. Paul’s 11 hits, the Lady Cardinals got eight extra-base hits in the 13-1 win over Pasadena First Baptist Academy May 7 in Sweeny in the Division IV regional game.
The Lady Cardinals advanced to their third straight state tournament and were scheduled to play Sacred Heart on Friday morning in the state semifinals.
At the plate, Maria Jackson was 2-for-2, two runs, two doubles, two RBI.
Jessica Fikac got two hits, triple, double and three runs; Tori Walker went 2-for-3, double, two RBI; Tatum Walker got a triple and had two RBI.
Stefany Pokluda got a double and Presley Tuch doubled. 
Tatum Walker pitched five innings with one hit, one run, one walk and eight strikeouts. 
Jackson made five putouts in the field.
St. Paul led 4-0 after one inning and scored seven runs in the second before adding a run in the third and tying FBA 1-1 in runs in the fourth square.
