Moulton man arrested on felony warrant

On July 24 at approximately 6:45 a.m. the Moulton Police Department along with the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Antonio Espinoza Balderas of Moulton on a felony warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity.

Mr. Balderas is believed to be involved in a burglary that occurred in Moulton on June 10, 2023 at an address on South Lancaster where the burglary was reported. Chief Beyer stated the arrest was the result of an exhaustive investigation by the Moulton Police Department, Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Gonzales County Constables office.

The arrest of Balderas went without incident, and Mr. Balderas was transported to the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department where he was booked and is being held on a recommended $500,000 bond.
