29th Annual Kolache Fest Saturday

The 29th annual Kolache Fest will take place this Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.

Activities will begin on Friday evening, Sept. 27 with 42 Domino warm-up games being played at the hall.

Kolache Fest activities on Saturday will start with the 5K Fun Run on the downtown Courthouse Square at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Kolache Fest Parade beginning at 10 a.m.

All other activities will take place at the hall with arts and crafts booths and food booths open throughout the day along with a 42 Domino tournament.

In addition, a BBQ cook-off will take place along with a pie contest, car show, cornhole tournament with the winners announced at 6 p.m.

Great music will be provided under the Biergarten Pavilion as well as a car show and a kolache baking demonstration.

Friday, Sept. 27

• 8 a.m. – 42 domino tournament

• 10 a.m. – Parade

• 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. – Arts and Crafts/Food Booths open

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – The Dujka Brothers

• 12 noon – Car show registration

• 2 p.m. – Kolache eating contest

• 3 to 6 p.m. – The Czechoholics

• 3 p.m. – Car show awards

• 3:30 p.m. – Kolache baking demonstration

• 3 p.m. – Cornhole tournament registration

• 4 p.m. – Cornhole tournament

• 6 p.m. – BBQ/Kolache/Pie awards

• 7 to 11 p.m. – Shiner’s 2nd Wind

The Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce welcomes the public to attend. It will be a fun day for all.
