Celebrating community

Hallettsville joined 410 Texas cities on Tuesday, October 1st. Texas had the largest participation of cities in the event.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

National Night Out is celebrated annualy since 1984. The first annual National Night Out involved 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.NNO focuses on being a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Local Lavaca County communities all joined in on the celebration which included snacks, games, bounch houses, hayrides and much more. Local Lavaca County First Responders joined the police force bringing out the helicopter and emergency vehicles for kids of all ages to see and tour. The event represented a true partnership and support among those who protect us and those we share our neighborhoods with.

In Hallettsville, the newest member of the police force, Kona, made her appearance and enjoyed the evening right along side her human friends.
