93rd Annual Chamber of Commerce banquet Wednesday, Jan. 29

The 93rd Annual Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture/Visitors Center Membership and Awards Banquet will take place next Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the KC Hall in Hallettsville.

The banquet will include an evening of socializing, networking, and celebrating Hallettsville as well as a social hour followed by a full course meal and the program.

In addition, a number of business booth exhibits will be on hand to visit during the evening.

The highlight of the evening will be the awarding of Citizen of the Year as well as the Hospitality Award, and the naming of the outstanding senior student at both Sacred Heart Catholic High School and Hallettsville High School.

This year’s nominees for Citizen of the Year include Jessie Allen and Dr. Christopher Freytag, DC.

Nominees for the Hospitality Award include Jessie Allen, Maurice G. Wilkinson, MD, FAAFP and Lauren Pasak.

Nominees for the Outstanding Senior Student recognition from Hallettsville High School are Brett Baker, son of Crystal and Bryan Baker, Preston Wagner, son of Lori and Ryan Wagner, and Brenna Scott, daughter of Teddi Scott and Trevor Scott.

Sacred Heart Catholic High School nominees include Brianna Clark, daughter of Shanna and John Paul Clark, Mary Elizabeth Krischke, daughter of Joanie Krischke and the late Stuart Krischke, Lance Barton, son of Denise and Kenneth Barton.

These exceptional students have been selected for their outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and contributions to the local community. One student will be chosen from each school as the Outstanding Senior Student.
