YHS commencement exercises set for Friday

    The commencement exercise for the Yoakum High School (YHS) Class of 2025 will be held on May 23 beginning at 8 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. The program will start with the processional, National Anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The Yoakum High School Valedictorian, Samantha Adamek will give the address. She is the daughter of Jennifer Adamek and Gabe Adamek and plans to attend Texas A&M University.

    The Yoakum High School Salutatorian, Olivia Fojt, will also give an address. She is the daughter of Scott and Christy Fojt and plans to attend Texas A&M University.

    The 2025 graduating seniors will be certified as graduates by Superintendent Tom Kelley. School Board President Glen Kusak will make the presentation of the diplomas.
