St. Paul softball: Green contributes at the plate, in the field for ETBU softball in ‘25

St. Paul 2022 graduate Sydney Green took part in 17 games during her junior year on the East Texas Baptist University softball team in the 2025 season.
The Lady Tigers posted a 43-5 record, went 15-1 in conference play, 25-1 at home, 10-2 in away games and went 8-2 at neutral sites.
Green’s first action was in the first game of a home doubleheader Feb. 8 against Trinity. She got on base once via a hit by pitch in ETBU’s 11-2 win in five innings.
She was hit by the pitch in an 11-0 win in the second game of a home doubleheader against Austin College on Feb. 22.
In the second game of doubleheader at home to York (PA), Green was walked once and played first base, making one putout on one chance for 1.000 fielding as the Lady Tigers won 9-0
On March 29, Green played in the second game of a double header against University of Texas-Dallas. She was walked once and stole one base on one attempt as ETBU won 6-1.
In the first game of a doubleheader April 6 at UTD, she scored one run in a 6-3 Lady Tiger win.
In game two, Green hit 1-for-1 in the 11-0 ETBU victory.
On April 11, she earned one base on balls in the first game of a doubleheader against Howard Payne with the Lady Tigers winning 8-0.
In the first game of a doubleheader the next day, Green started at catcher and had three at-bats in a 6-3 Lady Tiger win.
On April 18, she hit 1-for-2 and scored one run in a 7-0 win in the first game of a home doubleheader against LeTourneau.
In the second game of a doubleheader April 26 at Mary-Hardin Baylor, Green scored one run in a 9-6 win for the Lady Tigers.
In the first game of a doubleheader at Hardin-Simmons on May 2, Green went 1-for-1 as EBTU won 5-3.
She played in the second game in the Lady Tigers 8-6 win, hitting a sacrifice flyball and had one RBI.
The next day, she went 0-for-2 at the plate in the first game of a doubleheader with the Lady Tigers winning 6-1. It was also her second start of the season.
In the opening game of the NCAA Division III Marshall Regionals May 15, Green was walked once and scored one run as EBTU won 13-1.
The next day, Green had one walk, had one RBI and scored one run in the Lady Tigers’ 13-3 win over St. Thomas (Texas).
Green played in 17 games and started two. She had a .333 batting average, nine at-bats, five runs scored, three hits, two RBI, .333 slugging, six walks, two hit by pitch, .611 on-base and one sacrifice fly.
