Julia Zimmerman

Julia Mae Zimmerman, 92, of Shiner, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
She was born July 4, 1933 in Lavaca County, to Adolf and Annie Holocher Wegener. She married Kenneth Zimmerman on April 14, 1949 and celebrated over 60 years of marriage.
Julia was a dedicated homemaker who managed the family household with love and care. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church in Shiner. She enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan White (Gary), Karen Pokluda, Nancy Blaschke (David) and Lora White (Ed); sons, Kenneth Zimmerman Jr., Dennis Zimmerman and Jeff Zimmerman (Pam); 11 grandchildren, Kelley Mozisek (Scott), Chris White (Dawn), Sarah Racz (JD), Kimberly Zaruba (Randy), Brian Pokluda (Michele), Christy Kalmus (Blaise), Chad Blaschke (Rachel), Charles Blaschke (Jaclyn), Cheryl Pesek (Jonathan), Brittany Pierce (Ashton) and Kaci Zimmerman (Noel); 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Kneifel; and brother, Perry Wegener (Patsy).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Zimmerman; her parents; sister, Annie Mae Sapp (Marvin); brother, James Wegener (Marie); son-in-law, Michael Pokluda; and daughter-in-law, Edith Zimmerman.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Shiner Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kay Johnson officiating. 
Burial followed at the Shiner Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Pokluda, Chad Blaschke, Charles Blaschke, Chris White, Randy Zaruba and Scott Mozisek.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shiner Lutheran Church.
