St. Paul HS graduation held May 17
Commencement exercises for St. Paul High School’s Class of 2026 were held at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
Seventeen seniors received their diplomas during the ceremony. Following a warm welcome by Principal Lesley Bacak, Kristin Cerny gave her salutatory address.
The valedictory was given by Karis Barta.
Graduation diplomas were presented by Father Jacob Mendoza to Karis Elizabeth Barta, Ezekiel Basquez, Brodey Kyle Biehunko, Annslie Monique Callais, Kristin Elizabeth Cerny, Connor Jamison Fogle, Nora Grace Koch, Sally Jo Machacek, Gracie DeAnne Malinovsky, Riley Street Mozisek, Samuel Perez, Camie Jean Robles, Reese Addison Seibert, Wyatt Cordray Siegel, Jenna Elise Stock, Audrey Taylor Thibodeaux, and Presley Kay Tuch.
Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of Mr. and Miss St. Paul. The honors went to Wyatt Siegel and Sally Machacek.
Following the class history by Historian Presley Tuch, graduates presented flowers to their parents in appreciation for the many sacrifices they made to give them the gift of a Catholic education.
Father Jacob Mendoza then recognized the senior parents whose last child was graduating from St. Paul High School and ended the evening with a blessing.
The 2026 Baccalaureate was held on Sunday, May 10 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at the 9:30 a.m. Mass.
Altar server awards were presented to students who had served the parish all four years of high school.
The Shiner Knights of Columbus presented $150 scholarships to: Kristin Cerny, Sally Machacek, Riley Mozisek, and Wyatt Siegel.
