Local youth sports:Shiner Stars 14U baseball earns regional NIT championship

    Shiner Stars 14U brought home the championship from the PG Houston Super Regional NIT May 22-24. This group showed up in every phase of the game. Pitching and defense were locked in all weekend, and the bats did their job too. The boys finished with 31 hits and 47 runs in five games while only giving up seven earned runs.
