St. Paul athletics: St. Paul girls athletics win several awards at TAPPS convention

    The Shiner St. Paul girls athletic programs won several awards at the TAPPS convention held in Fort Worth held earlier this month. Kristin Cerny (right) was named 2025-2026 2A Female Athlete of the Year. Coach Nicco Brown (head cross country, assistant volleyball, assistant girls basketball, head golf) was selected as 2A Coach of the Year.The Lady Cardinals program was named 2A Female Program of the Year.  The cross-country track team and golf team won the state championship while the volleyball, basketball and softball made the state semifinals.
