Shiner football: Dalton Brooks plays in 12 games for Aggies, makes 62 tackles
Texas A&M junior safety and 2023 Shiner grad Dalton Brooks took part in 12 of 13 games in the 2025 season.
Brooks played in the 44-22 home win against Utah State for his first action of the season, he made one solo tackle and one total tackle.
He made four solo tackles, one assist and five total tackles and started in the Aggies’ 41-40 barn-burner win at Notre Dame on Sept. 13.
Brooks started and made three solo tackles, three total tackles in a 16-10 win over Auburn at home in the SEC opener on Sept. 27.
He started and made three solo tackles, one assist, four total tackles, one tackle for a loss of one yard and one quarterback hit in a 31-9 win over Mississippi State in a home SEC game Oct. 4.
Brooks made two solo tackles, two assists and four total tackles in a 34-17 SEC home win over the Florida Gators on Oct. 11.
He started and had a productive game in a 45-42 conference win at Arkansas on Oct. 18. He had seven solo tackles, two assists, nine total tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss of 20 yards, one sack for 18 yards and two quarterback hits.
Brooks started and had four solo tackles, two assists and six total tackles in a 49-25 win at LSU in conference play on Oct. 25.
He started in the Aggies’ third-straight SEC road game Nov. 8 at Missouri, and contributed two solo tackles, four assists, six total tackles and one fumble recovery for 26 yards in Texas A&M’s 38-17 win.
Brooks started and had three solo tackles, one assist, four total tackles, one tackle for loss of 11 yards, one sack for 11 yards and one interception as the Aggies rallied for a 31-30 home conference win over South Carolina on Nov. 15.
He started and had one assist, one total tackle in a 48-0 non-conference win over Samford on Nov. 22 at home.
Brooks started, contributed nine solo tackles, three assists, 12 total tackles, one tackle for loss of nine yards and one pass breakup as the Aggies fell to Texas 27-17 in the Lonestar Showdown Nov. 28 in Austin. He started in the First Round College Football Playoff game Dec. 20 at home to Miami and made four solo tackles, three assists, seven total tackles, one tackle for loss of six yards, one sack for six yards and one forced fumble
Brooks played in 12 total games and made 11 starts. He had 62 total tackles, 42 solo tackles, 20 assists, 6.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumbled, two fumbles recovered, one pass broken up, one interception and two passes defended.
The Aggies went 11-2, 7-1 in Southeastern Conference play, 7-1 at home and 4-1 away.
