HHS commencement Friday; 107 candidates up for graduation

Hallettsville High School will hold its 2026 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 22 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and in the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium.

The Hallettsville ISD recently held its annual Bell Award ceremony with 10 educational leaders recognized by senior students at Hallettsville High School.

HISD board sets 26-27 school calendar

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting Monday evening and approved the 2026-27 school calendar.According to the calendar, the Fall semester will begin on Thursday, Aug. 13 and end on Thursday, Dec. 17.

HHS seniors answering the call

On Friday, Mar. 6, four brave Hallettsville High School young men took an oath to serve their country and signed up for the military.The signers included Lucas Hill and Austin Kainer, who enlisted with the US Army, while Jake Woytek and Peyton Prihoda signed up with the United States Marine Corps.

HISD Board reaffirms resolution regarding prayer in school

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting on Monday, March 9 and reaffirmed a resolution regarding prayer in school.At its Feb. 9 meeting the board adopted a resolution in accordance with Texas Senate Bill 11 permitting students to pray in school.
