HISD board tackles long agenda

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting Monday evening and took on a long list of agenda items.The board approved a policy related to student use of personal communication devices that are required by HB 1481 from the 89th Texas Legislature regular session.

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees held two special called meetings recently with one held on Thursday, June 26 and the other on Monday, June 30.At the June 26 meeting the board approved the hiring of Kade Kahanek as a high school social studies teacher and coach.

Texas A&M College of Medicine will host a rural medical day camp at Hallettsville High School on Wednesday, June 25. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.The camp is open to seventh and eighth grade students attending all schools in Lavaca County including Sacred Heart in Hallettsville, St.

HHS commencement exercises Friday

Hallettsville High School will hold its 2025 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 23 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium.
