MPD Passes TCOLE State Audit with Perfect Score

The Moulton Police Department recently underwent a state audit and they received high marks.This audit was done by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). “That is the name of the agency that regulates our licensing,” Moulton Police Department Chief Daniel Beyer said.

New MPD building is shovel ready

The new and upcoming Moulton Police Department building is coming along well and is now shovel ready.New drawings are in and the new MPD will be located between the new fire department and Leroy’s Plumbing. The front entrance will be facing Main Street.

Lavaca County gets new mental health deputy

Lavaca County now has a new mental health deputy. This came about after meetings with the Gulf Bend Center in Victoria.“A year ago, we put together a committee, the Lavaca County law enforcement committee,” Lavaca County Sheriff Stephen Greenwell said at a recent Commissioners Court meeting.

Council Approves Grant Contracts

The Moulton City Council approved a couple of contracts at the June 10 meeting.This is a contract for Urban Engineering and USCA Municipal Advisors,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said. “It is connected to the Texas Water Development Board grant applications that we submitted.

Hallettsville and Lavaca County residents may have noticed an increase in police presence last week in the area.

Moulton Police Department Updates

More updates were given on the new Police Department for the City of Moulton.The drawings for the building have officially come in and Police Chief Daniel Beyer is accepting donations for the building.“I already have my taxpayer I.D.

MPD gets new building

The Moulton Police Department will be getting a new building for its operations.“The new police department will be right next to the fire department,” Police Chief Daniel Beyer said. “That lot was donated to us by the SouthStar by the owner of the bank, David Kapavick.
