Rodeo participants at Hallettsville’s storied rodeo grounds out at the Expo Center will soon be able to enjoy their respective sports without concerns about rain, snow or, far more likely, the sun beating down on their backs.

Founders’ Invitational Rodeo happens this weekend

The sights and sounds of yesteryear will be heard this weekend as the 9th annual Texas State Championship High School Rodeo Founders’ Invitational will take place at the William and Alton Allen Exposition Center in Hallettsville this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14-15.

Shiner Catholic School freshman Audrey Thibodeaux of Shiner became the new Texas Junior High Rodeo Finals and State Pole Bending Champion at the state finals held last month at Gonzales’ J.B. Wells Park, Arena and Expo Center.
