Tips for being safe in school zones

As summer vacation comes to an end for students, the 2024-25 school year will beginning for area schools with some starting this week and the remainder next week.Whether a motorist, student or pedestrian, school zone safety is of utmost importance as the new school year starts.

Teachers deserve respect and support

- Staff WriterIn my opinion, the teaching profession has got to be one of the most meaningful jobs there is.I know in my life, schoolteachers made impressions on me that I carry to this day.
The Sacred Heart Catholic School 5th graders recently participated in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon program and raised $2,358.25. The amount raised  goes toward helping kids who battle cancer and other deadly diseases. During the past years, the 5th grade classes have been involved in the program and have raised a total of over $14 thousand. Board to bid fond farewell to interim

Moulton school board members opted to delay their regular monthly meeting in May by however long it might be necessary to best accommodate interim superintendent Mark Pool.  Turns out, he only needed a day.

Moulton leads points bracket at academic UIL state meet

Moulton High School brought home several top finishes at Saturday’s Class A academic UIL state championship in Austin, including two team golds for the spelling and social studies teams, both of whom are now back-to-back state champions.
