Local cross-country: Lady Cards, Lady Comanches first, second at Shiner Meet No. 2

St. Paul and Shiner cross-country teams were at home Saturday in the second Shiner meet. The Lady Cardinals won the varsity girls 1A-2A race and Shiner was runner up. The Cardinals were second in the 1A-2A boys. St. Paul Varsity Girls St.

St. Paul football: Late special teams, defensive plays gets St. Paul 28-27 victory

St. Paul and Austin Brentwood pretty much traded blows with no one able to take a significant lead. St. Paul made some pretty significant special teams and defensive plays later in the game.

Local cross country: Lady Cards, Lady Comanches finish fourth, fifth at Gonzales meet

The St. Paul and Shiner cross-country teams gathered in Gonzales to compete in the Gonzales Invitational on Saturday. St. Paul Varsity Girls The Lady Cardinals scored 95 points for a fourth-place finish in the girls varsity race. Kristin Cerny led St. Paul with fourth place in 12 minutes, 54.

St. Paul volleyball: Lady Cardinals drop district matches to PC, Sacred Heart

St. Paul Lady Cardinals hosted Pflugerville Concordia on Sept. 19 and was at Sacred Heart on Thursday, losing both contests. PC 3, St. Paul 0 Pflugerville Concordia’s offense was different and more potent than  St. Paul had faced in its first five district matches. St.

St. Paul football: Cards hold off Geneva 49-43

St. Paul had three backs each rush for over 100 yards as the Cardinals held off Boerne Geneva 49-43 Friday in Boerne. Nate Boedeker led with 193 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns.  Sam Perez rushed a dozen times for 126 yards and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass.

Local cross country: Shiner CC meet- Lady Cards place second

Shiner Catholic School and Shiner ISD cross-country teams competed in the Shiner meet Saturday at Green-Dickson Park. St. Paul Varsity Girls St. Paul girls scored 58 points to come in runner up in the 1A-2A varsity, four points shy of winner Falls City.
