St. Paul baseball team shut out San Marcos Academy and beat Sacred Heart in two road games last week. St. Paul 11, SM A 0 The Cardinals brought in seven runs in the top of the seventh to put the icing on the cake of an 11-0 win at San Marcos Academy on March 22. St.

St. Paul track and field: Lady Cards win Fayetteville meet

The St. Paul track teams competed at Fayetteville on Thursday with the girls winning the meet. St. Paul scored 144.5 points to inch past Sacred Heart who had 144 points. Girls 100 — 6th, Gracie Malinovsky, 14.57; 7th, Nora Koch, 14.69. 200 — 5th, Nora Koch, 31.68. 400 — 1st, Brooke Cerny, 1:01.

St. Paul baseball: Fisher Davis to continue baseball at TAMUK

While contributing to the St. Paul’s fifth straight trip to the  football state championship game, senior Fisher Davis was also looking into his baseball future, post high school.

St. Paul golf: Cardinal golf teams win Cuero Tournament

The St. Paul girls and boys golf teams won their Cuero Tournament March 6-7. Girls The Lady Cardinals had a team score of 442. Cortney Tuch, Anna Reeves and Riley Mozisek each carded a 108. Emily Stamport scored a 118 and Mary Sue Filip registered a 129.

St. Paul softball: Lady Cards take second at Flatonia Tournament

The St. Paul softball game won two games Friday in the Flatonia Tournament and split two games on Saturday. St. Paul 8, Smithville 4 Led by Presly Tuch’s three hits, St. Paul opened  tournament play with a 8-4 win over Smithville Friday afternoon in Smithville.

St. Paul track: Cards in action in Cuero

Several St. Paul track athletes took part in the Cuero meet last Thursday. Girls The Lady Cardinals placed sixth in varsity girls with 48 points. Faith Machart won the shot put with 34 feet, 5 inches and won the discus with 103-2. Ashlyn Pesek got Gold in the high jump with 5-2.
