The Hallettsville woman held hostage by a wanted fugitive inside her own home back in 2022 traveled with her family to Austin Thursday, Oct. 10, to personally thank DPS Staff Sgt. Mina Gadelkarim, whose decisive actions that day played a huge part in her walking away from the events that unfolded that particular Sunday afternoon.
