Truck crosses center line, sending two to the hospital

Last Saturday, the Hallettsville Police Department assisted in a two-vehicle collision on the 700 Block of West Fairwinds St.According to officials, a 2017 White Dodge Ram pickup drifted into the opposite lane and struck a 2024 Black Dodge Ram pulling a trailer.

Burn ban lifted

After hearing from Lavaca County EMS assistant chief/Lavaca County Fire Chiefs Association liaison Tim Decker at its Tuesday morning, April 14, meeting, the commissioners’ court voted to lift the burn ban in the county.

EMS helps search and rescue dogs

Lavaca County Emergency Management Services crews recently helped search and rescue dogs recover from heat and exhaustion while on deployment in Kerrville. Using special equipment made for animals, medics gave oxygen to several cadaver dogs needing medical attention.

Court approves creation of fourth Lavaca County EMS crew

The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court met in a regular meeting Monday morning and approved the creation of a fourth Lavaca County EMS crew.Lavaca County EMS director Michael Furrh spoke to the court regarding the need for adding fourth crew.
