“I love riding my horses, being outside and being a Chapter officer for my school’s FFA program,” Peebles says.” I maintain all A’s throughout the school year, and play on the varsity softball team for my school. I live on a ranch outside of Shiner, where I tend to all our livestock.

Shiner FFA steer validation set Sept. 10

Shiner FFA steer validation will take place from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Shiner Ag Barn. This validation is mandatory for all students showing a steer at the Shiner FFA Livestock Show. All steers should be in your possession and halter-broken by this time.

Shiner FFA returns energized from state convention Fort Worth

Shiner FFA officers returned recently from the 94th annual Texas FFA convention held at the historic Fort Worth Stockyard District, where student leaders from across Lavaca County and the Lone Star State spent an entire week of July 11-15 immersed in all things FFA.
