Beware of scammers— YPD warns residents

The Yoakum Police Department (YPD) is warning local businesses and community members about a potential scam that is going on.

YPD claims individuals are calling on their behalf and claiming to collect money for advertisements or fundraising.

Police said the solicitations are not authorized by the YPD and the YPD is not con ducting fundraisers or affiliated with the individuals making the calls.
