Rural school districts won’t need November elections

Lavaca County’s three smallest school districts won’t need to have any school board member positions on the upcoming Nov. 8 general election ballots.

That’s after all three schools reported last week that no challengers had stepped forward during the month-long filing period that ran earlier from July 23 to Aug. 25.
