In a press release dated Jan. 9, 2025, Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that Esmeralda Valderas, 41, of Moulton, was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit.The arrest occurred Jan.

A beloved staple of Shiner, Howard’s convenience store, celebrated its 40th year anniversary in December. Howard Gloor started the business 40 years ago in 1984 because he wanted to make it a good place for people to congregate in Shiner.
