City Council considers increasing green fees

Golfers will pay the price for their greens. The Yoakum city council discussed changing the green fees at the Yoakum Municipal Golf Course at the Oct. 13 meeting.The current green fees are $15 on week days and $20 on week ends. For seniors, it is $10 and for students, it is $8.

In addition, Sister Mary Jean Bludau, who has 50 years in Catholic education, was named the Victoria Diocese Jr. High Teacher of the Year.
