Gene Marie Bohuslav

Gene Marie Bohuslav of Komensky, passed away at the age of 87.  She was born in Lavaca County to Emilie (Janek) and Charles Ben Halata.   She attended her early school years at Moravia School and graduated from Moulton High School in 1955.

Myrtis Gene Scheffler

At the age of 82 and still going strong, Myrtis Gene Scheffler collapsed in the arms of his daughter, Kristal, and dear neighbor and friend, Chris Berger, with his cattle standing by reverently.   Gene was born on March 6, 1941, in Goliad to Alfonse Joseph and Virginia Gleinser Scheffler.

Judith Catherine Schneider

Judith Catherine Schneider, 87, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.   She was born  in Sweet Home on Sept. 30, 1936 to Jerry and Bertha Gallia Mozisek.   She attended school in Shiner, and graduated from Shiner High School in 1954.   On Dec.

Hubert Novak

Hubert Novak, 89, of Shiner, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 18 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum, with prayers of the holy rosary following at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 19 at Sts.

Helen Zabransky

Helen Zabransky of Hallettsville passed away, Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023  at the age of 72. She was born Helen Agnes Zabransky in Shiner on May 4, 1951 to Frank Joseph and Andela Agnes (Wagner) Zabransky .  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Alan August Zatopek

Alan August Zatopek, 69, of Moravia, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.  He was born Sept. 27, 1954 in Lavaca County to Joe and Mildred Trlica Zatopek.  Alan is survived by his brother, Everett Zatopek and wife, Mary Jane of Houston; two  nieces and the Moravia community.

Dexter James Svetlik

Dexter James Svetlik departed this world on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, after a lengthy battle with heart disease.  Dexter was born in Hallettsville to Anton and Frances Svetlik on Aug.  16, 1953. He spent his formative years in the Hallettsville area and attended the Hallettsville school system.

Dolores Emma Krause

Dolores Emma Krause of Hallettsville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the age of 92.   She was born Feb. 10, 1931 in Moulton to Anton Sr. and Emma Heinrich Billimek.  On April 25, 1949 she married Julius Hilmer Krause in Moulton.

Otto Moeller

Otto Moeller, 87 of Moulton passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, surrounded by his family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1936 to Edmund and Lillian Moeller.   On July 5, 1955, he married Elrose Anderle. They had four children, Judy, Linda, Robert and Monica.

Robert L. Matias

Robert Lee Matias, 72, of Shiner, passed on to his heavenly Lord Sunday January 7, 2024. Robert was born on July 13, 1951, to the late Irene and Louis Frank Matias. Robert was married to his loving wife Marie Simper of 50 years.
