Robert Lee Meyer, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023, surrounded by his family. The family receivedfriends from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, January 22 at  Shiner Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary following at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m.

Kari Ann Bolin, 52, passed away in Clermont, Florida on Wednesday. Jan. 4, 2023 at 12:05 p.m.  She was born in Cuero on Nov. 24, 1970 to Walter Brent Bolin and Mildred “Millie” Ann Bolin.  Kari was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton.

Marcella V. Henke

Marcella V. Henke, 85, of Hallettsville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.   She was born in Fayette County on Aug. 28, 1937 to Charles and Mary Hajek Vana. On May 3, 1959, she married Henry Joe Henke Jr. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Praha.

Leonita Louise (Vasek) Panus, 81, of Shiner, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2023. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Gladys Ida Eckhardt (nee Gold), 87, of Yoakum, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2023.   She was born in Fredericksburg on Oct. 12, 1935, to Edwin and  Meta Heimann Gold.  On Nov. 6, 1999 she married Eric Eckhardt   She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum.

Flora L. Nieto, 95, passed away on Friday, Jan, 6. 2023. Flora was born Oct.  27, 1927 in Moulton to Bonifacio Nieto and Josefa (Galvan) Nieto. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton and the Catholic Daughters.

Robert Earle Ritz Sr., 90, of Conroe, passed away on October 19, 2022 of natural causes at his home in Conroe. He was born on May 5, 1932, in Shiner, to John and Emma Ritz. Early in his life, Robert served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mike C. Jakubek

Mike C. Jakubek passed away on Saturday, Dec.  31, 2022 in Houston at the age of 71. He was born on Oct. 3, 1951. Mike is survived by his brother, Jim (Bea) Jakubek of Hallettsville; nephew, Brian Jakubek of Pflugerville;  nieces, Susan Jakubek of Hallettsville and Julie (Jorge) Cantu of Buda.
