Virginia Mae Hagan, age 89, passed away July 21. She was born Oct. 7, 1932 in Yoakum to Herbert Herman and Leona Otelia Meyer Becker.

Mary Gallia

Mary Jane Gallia, 103, of Shiner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Mass and burial were held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Lenert Heiman Jr., Wayne Heiman, David Heiman, Craig Heiman, Casey Goodman and Colton Machart.

James Alvin Pohl

James Alvin Pohl, 88, of Ezzell, passed away Monday,  July 18, 2022.   He was born on Jan. 26, 1934, to Henry J. and  Ida May Bell Pohl, in the Sommer’s Thicket near Ezzell in southeast Lavaca County.   On Aug. 21, 1960 he married Frances Powell in Pecos.

John Alvin Thompson

John Alvin Thompson, 69, of Hallettsville, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, July 5, 2022, surrounded by his family after a twenty-one year battle with brain cancer.    He was born in Sinton on June 7, 1953, to R.L. and Doris Dover Thompson.  John and Cindy Garrett Thompson were married Jan.

Colonel Robert ‘Bob’ Kubena

  Colonel Robert “Bob” Kubena passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.   He was born to Anton J. Kubena and Agnes (Linhart) Kubena on Jan.  2, 1933, in Hallettsville. Bob married his beautiful wife, Betty Lou Brent on May 7, 1955  in Denton.

Barbara Jean Castro

Barbara Jean Castro, 71, of Moulton, passed away into God’s loving arms, Friday, July 22, 2022 as she was surrounded by her family.  She was born July 24, 1950 in Shiner to George and Emmie (Hustede) Michalec. Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton.

Cindy Burke

Cindy Burke of Houston, passed away from a brief illness on July 20, 2022, at the age of 57, surrounded by her family.   She was born on Jan. 11, 1965, to Frankie Joe and Barbara Supak of Gonzales.

Harvey Lee Immenhauser

Harvey Lee Immenhauser, 78, passed away July 14. Family and friends gathered for visitation and sharing of memories 6-7 p.m. , July 20, and the holy Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway, in Victoria. A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. on July 21 at St.

Leroy Williams

Leroy Williams, of West Covina, Calif., peacefully joined his Heavenly Father in comfort and love on Dec. 2, 2021. He was 94 years old. Leroy was born in Yoakum on June 27, 1927. He attended the Yoakum public schools and graduated from Asberry High School in 1945.

John Thomas Hardin

John Thomas Hardin, beloved father, husband, son and brother, 33, of Cuero, passed away July 13. He was born Feb. 24, 1989 in Victoria; the son of Joe and Cissie (Snodgrass) Hardin. He graduated from Yoakum High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station.
