Barbara Ann Riemenschneider

Barbara Ann Riemenschneider, age 86 of Wincrest, passed away July 14. She was born Aug. 24, 1935 in Yoakum to Albert Gee and Dorothy (Granberry) Gee. She was a secretary and a homemaker. She was a 1953 graduate of Yoakum High School. On Aug. 22, 1954 she married Robert Riemenschneider.

Rebecca Linskey

Rebecca “Becky” Roosa Linskey, 47, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Family and close friends will gather for a burial service at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels on Wednesday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m.

Donald E. Lahodny

Donald Edward Lahodny, 76, of Shiner, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m.Thursday, July 21 at the Shiner Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 22 at Shiner Funeral Home, with Pastor Herb Beyer officiating.

Edward Lee Eddy Sr.

Edward Lee Eddy, Sr., known to most as Eddie, of Shiner, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 2, 2022.  He is reunited with his “Angel” and wife, Eva Eddy after years of being apart. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6 at First United Methodist Church in Shiner.

Alton Albert Michalcik

Alton Albert Michalcik, 84, of Hallettsville, went to his heavenly home on Monday, July 11, 2022 after a two-year battle with lung cancer.  He was definitely a fighter to the end.   He was born in Hallettsville on May 31, 1938, to Alfonse and Lillie Michalcik.

Carmen Romo Calvillo

Carmen Romo Calvillo was born in California on March 31, 1948. She passed away in Texas on July 11, 2022.  Rest in Peace, Mom. We Love You.   

Fayrene Hefner Clark

Fayrene Hefner Clark, 82, of Hallettsville was reunited with her loved ones in Heaven on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Fayrene was born May 7, 1940 in the community of Oak Grove in Aransas County, to Lawrence “LW” and Lula Hefner.

Elizabeth Boyle ‘Liz’ Nunnelly

Elizabeth Boyle “Liz” Nunnelly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the age of 78. Liz was born on Dec. 28, 1943 in New York, N.Y., to Elmer Boyle and Irene Moore Boyle Ryan.  She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, C.J.

Robert G. Layton

Robert G. Layton, 80, of Sheridan,passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Sheridan. He was born on Sept. 12, 1941 in Sublime to Louie Layton and Evelyn (Willeford) Layton.  On Sept. 6, 1963, he married Betty Brisco. Robert worked as a welder for many years. He spent time in the U.S.

Arlyn Kloesel

Arlyn Kloesel, a retired Distinguish Senior Lecturer at the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Arlyn was born in Hallettsville on Feb. 23, 1939 to Arthur and Ruby (Grasshoff) Kloesel.   He was preceded in death by his parents.
