Sandra Trent passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 2, 2022. She was born in Clovis, N.M. on March 30, 1939, to Claudine and Jewel Darr. She graduated from Hobbs High School and went on to become a Hairdresser.

Allan “Bubba” Ray Woytek, 63, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Columbus. He was born to Albin “Sonny” Lawrence and Emma Jean (Tesch) Woytek on Oct. 18, 1958 in Hallettsville.

Henry Wayne Winkler

Henry Wayne Winkler, 79, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born in Hallettsville on Nov. 29, 1942, to Henry Charles and Hertha Kathryn (Fritsch) Winkler.

Rosalie Hagens

Rosalie Hagens, 87, joined her heavenly family Tuesday, April 12, 2022. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Monday, April 18 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bryan Heyer officiating.

Frances Jo Byrd

On Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, Frances Jo Byrd, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 86. Frances was born on Feb. 19, 1936 in Hallettsville, Texas to Joseph and Mary (Michna) Vanek. She was the youngest of nine children. On Feb. 5, 1965 she married Bill Byrd.

MABLE HENRY

Mable (Thigpen) Henry, 84, went home to be with her Lord on April 16. She was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Yoakum to the late William Clifton and Clara Emily Barton (Bishop) Thigpen. She was devoted to her family and friends in her loving, caring, and kind way.

ANNIE SAPP

Annie Mae Sapp, 85, passed away April 11. She was born Nov. 6, 1936 in Shiner to Adolph and Annie (Holocher) Wegener. Ann married her beloved Marvin Sapp and they enjoyed 50 years before his passing in 2006. She loved life, flowers, and people.

John Davis

John Davis, 91, of Shiner, completed his work on earth on Monday, April 4, 2022. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 10 at Thiele- Cooper Funeral Home, with Brother Mike Smith officiating. Military Honors were presented after the service. Burial will be held at a later date.

Daniel Franklin Wagner

Daniel Franklin Wagner, 72, of Hallettsville, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The fourth of six brothers, he was born in Hallettsville on Feb. 13, 1950, to Willie and Lillie Wagner.
