NEW BRAUNFELS – The Hallettsville Minor League All-Stars were eliminated by West University, 16-1, Monday evening.West University scored nine first-inning runs and also used five Hallettsville errors in the three-inning game.

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas dominated 25-AAA softball and also dominated the all-district team.Three Lady Brahmas were gained MVP honors. Macie Jansky was the overall MVP, Carson Jansky offensive MVP and Kaylie Olivarez defensive MVP.

EL CAMPO – With the aid of five errors, the Hallettsville Major League All-Stars moved into the finals of the Texas East State Tournament with a 7-3 victory over Columbus Sunday night.Paelyn Etzler continued her amazing pitching with 12 strikeouts in tossing a two-hitter and a complete game.

Shiner softball: Keller wins Softball Coach of the Year award

Shiner softball coach Jason Keller has been named Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Overall Softball Coach of the Year. Keller led the 2024 Shiner team to a state title and 33-3 overall record.
