Indians second in District Meet

The Sacred Heart Indians finished second in the TAPPS District 5 Division IV meet here Tuesday, April 9.The Indians won two relays and one other event.The 4x100 relay won first with the foursome made up of Cameron Cull, Brady Haas, Clayton Haas and Andrew Steffek.

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas celebrated Little Sisters night with a 15-0 victory over Altair Rice Consolidated here Friday in a District 25- AAA game here Friday.Macey Jansky hit her 13th home run of the season as the LB (29-2, 12-0) had 13 hits in 23 at-bats.

Tribe wraps up District Title

The St. Paul-Sacred Heart game wasn’t exactly one for the ages, but instead a donnybrook.The Indians clinched the TAPPS District 5 Division IV championship with a 15-11 victory over the Cardinals here Wednesday, April 10.

Brahmas nip Edna, defeat Rice

The Hallettsville Brahmas began a threegame home stand with a 9-4 victory over Rice Consolidated in a District 25-AAA game here Friday night.Starter and winner Hudson Chenard (7-1) worked five innings and gave up six hits, two runs (one unearned) four walks and struck out six.

St. Paul softball: Lady Cardinals go down agains SH after late surge

The fifth and sixth innings against Sacred Heart, the St. Paul softball team probably will not keep in their memory banks for too long.The Indianettes rallied from 8-6 down with 17 runs on 11 hits to defeat the Lady Cardinals 23-8 in six innings Thursday evening at the Shiner Starplex.

Shiner baseball: Comanches rout BHS, Louise

The Shiner Comanches got the bats going in the first inning against Bloomington at home Friday.Shiner got five hits and scored eight runs to kick off a 15-0 win in four innings.The Comanches had 13 hits in the game led by Kaidan Boothe (three hits), Bode Werner (two hits) and Cale Shows (two hits).

St. Paul baseball: Cards go 2-0 against BBC, Pettus

Last week, the Cardinals baseball team won a district game at Bulverde Bracken and won at Pettus.SP 6, BB Christian 4The hits were plentiful in the 6-4 win at Bracken ChristianSt. Paul got 15 hits, led by Brody Biehunko who had three hits, double, RBI and Nate Boedeker who was 3-for-3, run, RBI.

Shiner track and field: Shiner varsity track teams win district championship

Both Shiner varsity track and field teams picked up the district championship Thursday in Ganado.(All events are finals, unless noted; top four in varsity events advance to the area meet).Varsity GirlsShiner dominated with 239 points, 102 more than second-place Schulenburg.
