It started raining at the end of the Victoria Cobra-Sacred Heart Indian game, but as far as the Cobras were concerned, it rained the entire game.The Indians defeated the Cobras 11-1 in five innings here Monday, March 4.

Tribe wins Rice tournament

ALTAIR – The Sacred Heart Indians swept the field in winning the Rice Consolidated Tournament in games played Friday and Saturday.Sacred Heart beat Louise, 12-5, in its final game Saturday.The Indians (8-5) had nine hits and were aided by three Louise errors and five walks.

Brahmas defeat Shiner in tournament finale Saturday

The Hallettsville Brahmas defeated Shiner, 2-1, in the final game of the Jimmy Appelt Tournament Saturday evening.As were the runs, hits were at a premium with the Brahmas having four hits and the Comanches four.

Shiner baseball: Comanches split four at Appelt Tourney

The Comanches went 2-2 in the Hallettsville Jimmy Appelt Tournament.PLC 2, Shiner 1The Sandcrabs got a pair of one-out hits in the bottom of the fifth and took advantage on a Shiner error to score two runs, rallying from a 1-0 deficit to edge the Comanches 2-1 Thursday night.
