St Paul gains tie for first place

The Sacred Heart Indianettes suffered their first TAPPS District 5 Division loss to St. Paul, 38-36, in the SH Gym Monday night. Missed free throws and turnovers were to blame for the loss. The Indianettes were a mere 7 of 27 from the free-throw line and the teams combined for 50 turnovers.

Tribe racks up 7th district win in a row

The Sacred Heart Indians made it seven TAPPS District Division IV district wins in a row with a 58-46 beating of St. Paul here Monday night. The Indians led 19-12 at the end of the first quarter after Nic Angerstein scored on two treys and Andrew Steffek hit 9.

Shiner girls basketball: Lenehan scores 19 to lead Shiner to win at Schulenburg

Morgan Lenehan hit a pair of triples and tallied 19 points to lead the Shiner girls to a 51-14 win at Schulenburg on Friday. Shiner led 18-0 after the first quarter and posted 22-2 halftime lead.
