Shiner volleyball: Weimar defeats Shiner in close four sets

Shiner and Weimar’s volleyball teams did not have a lot separating the two. It would come down to whoever made the fewest errors. Weimar had fewer mistakes and came away with a 25-22, 19-25, 25-20, 25-19 win over the Lady Comanches Sept. 26 in Shiner.

St. Paul football: Late special teams, defensive plays gets St. Paul 28-27 victory

St. Paul and Austin Brentwood pretty much traded blows with no one able to take a significant lead. St. Paul made some pretty significant special teams and defensive plays later in the game.

Indianettes win pair

The Indianettes keep on going in TAPPS District 5 Division IV with two more victories last week. The Indianettes are 19-8, 9-0 on the season. SH defeated Cedar Park Summit on the road Thursday, 25-8, 25- 6, 25-6. SH served 23 aces and were led by led by Elena Grahmann’s 5.

Indians take 35-13 verdict over Bay Area Christian

LEAGUE CITY – The Sacred Heart Indians are 6-0 for the first time since Rover was a pup. The Indians slayed Clear Lake Bay Area Christian, 35-13, on its home soil Friday night.

Brahmas Notch Hoco Win

Homecoming can always be a distraction, but it didn’t seem to bother the Hallettsville Brahmas in a 42-17 victory over Cypress Christian here Friday night. Hallettsville played its “cleanest” game of the season with zero turnovers and just one penalty.
