Yoakum football: Tre Robbins participates in 11 of 12 games for Javelina football in '22 freshman season

Yoakum grad Tre Robbins participated in 11 total games, during his freshman season (2022) for the Texas A&M Kingsville Javelina football team. He made one solo tackle and one total tackle in the 2022 season opener Sept. 3 against North American as the Javelinas shut down the Stallions 60-0.

St. Paul 2022 member and Temple Junior College baseball player Zak Johnson saw some action in his freshman season 2023. Johnson’s first game was Feb. 5 at Galveston College, a 3-2 win for Temple College.

Yoakum Golf Association hosted a camp June 26-28 with a tournament on the third day. The camp had a total of 45 kids, from Shiner, Yoakum, Moulton and Hallettsville. 7th and under (four holes): 1st, Sam Sofka, 27; 2nd, Kierstyn Kuter, 28.
