Shiner track and field: Lady Comanches sets new school record in mile-relay at state meet

The Shiner girls and boys track teams concluded the season Friday at the UIL state track meet at Mike A. Meyers Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin. Girls The 400-meter relay team of Brinley Ramirez, Rylee Vancura, Lauren Faldyn and Jaleah Curtis earned fourth place with a time of 49.

Shiner softball: LC defense stands tall in second game to complete sweep of Ganado

CUERO — The Shiner Comanches needed some solid defense in the second half of the game. And they got it, along with solid pitching, to see off Ganado 4-1 in the second game of the best-of-three regional quarterfinal series.

St. Paul softball: REPEAT: Lady Cards win 2023 state title

ARLINGTON — St. Paul repeated as back-to-back state champions this weekend at the TAPPS IV softball tournament at University of Texas-Arlington’s Allan Saxe Field. St.

The Shiner Lady Comanches and Comanches track and field team wrap up the season at the UIL state meet this Friday in five events. Dalton Brooks gets things started as he will compete in the long jump at 9 a.m. Kailey Boedeker is scheduled to throw the shot put at 12:30 p.m.
