LB soccer wins, loses

The LB defeated Rice Consolidated and lost to Bay City last week.The LB defeated Rice Consolidated 4-3 in Altair Monday, Feb. 16.Avery Woodring scored two goals and Kaisly Bludau and Analisse Goode one each.Goalie Timiya Sheppard had eight saves and Abby Ressler three steals.

’Nettes win four, lose two in Ganado/EC

The Indianettes won four and lost two in the Ganado/El Campo Tournament.The Indianettes defeated Bay City 11-3 Saturday with a 15-hit attack that featured home runs by Ella Demel and Avery Beach. Beach also doubled and drove in four runs.Rylan Dworsky and Phoenix Richter had three hits each.

LB in Wimberley Tournament

WIMBERLEY –The Lady Brahmas went 1-3- 1 in the Wimberley Tournament.The Lady Brahmas’ lone victory was 13-0 over Aubrey Saturday.Grace Halata pitched the four inning game and gave up one hit, walked four and struck out six.

Thorndale 3, Indians 0

The Indians dropped their season opener to Thorndale here Monday afternoon, Feb. 16, 3-0.Thorndale scored its runs in the second, fifth and sixth innings.The Indians were held to two hits. Losing pitcher Layne Sevcik and Trent Ferry had one hit each.

Brahmas 5, Wallis Brazos 0

Hudson Chenard and Weston Loudon combined for a no-hitter in the Brahmas’ seasonopening win over Wallis Brazos 5-0 in the season opener here Monday, Feb. 17.Chenard threw two innings and struck out nine and Loudon three innings and fanned six.Loudon allowed a base on balls.

Brahmas win own tourney

The Brahmas won their own JV Tournament with a 10-0 run rule victory over Geronimo Navarro Saturday evening.Ty Sklar pitched all five innings and gave up three hits, walked four and struck out three. He was helped by two double plays.

SH wins Boling Tournament

BOLING – The Indians won the Boling Tournament with a 6-5 victory over the Bulldogs in the finals Saturday.The Indians had a 6-4 lead before the Bulldogs scored four runs in the fifth and final inning.Trent Sevcik was the winning pitcher and went 4.

Brahmas rule Smithville

SMITHVILLE – The Brahmas won the championship of the Smithville Tiger Classic with an 8-0 verdict over the host Tigers Saturday night.The Brahmas (5-0) produced nine hits in the contest to back the pitching of Hudson Chenard.

’Nettes lose in regional finals

LA GRANGE – The Indianettes’ memorable run through the playoffs ended in a 45-38 loss to Bryan St. Joseph Friday night in a TAPPS Division IV regional finals playoff game in the La Grange High School Gym.
