St. Paul boys basketball: Cards beat Waelder, win RTC tourney

The St. Paul boys basketball team defeated Waelder and won the Round Top-Carmine Tournament in last week’s games.SP 96, Waelder 38The Cardinals scored at least 20 points in each quarter in a 96-38 rout of Waelder Dec. 2 at home. The Cards led 22-11 after one quarter and 47-19 at halftime.St.

The Lady Cardinals went 3-2 and won the Silver Bracket at the Schulenburg Tournament last weekend. Industrial 46, St. Paul 31Skylar Mozisek scored 12 points in St. Paul’s 46-31 loss to Industrial on Thursday.

Shiner, St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Cardinals change defense in win over Shiner

After a 17-17 tie at the end of the first quarter, the St. Paul Lady Cardinals decided to make some changes.St. Paul switched from a man-to-man defense to a zone defense in their away non-district game Dec. 2 at cross-town rivals Shiner and came away with a 55-37 win.

Shiner football: Comanches score twice in second half to beat Junction, 22-6

HUTTO — Comanche quarterback Jarvis Williams led a rejuvenated offense in the second half of the state quarterfinals against Junction.Williams ran for a pair of touchdowns as Shiner broke a 6-6 tie to defeat the Eagles 22-6 Friday night at Hutton Memorial Stadium.

Moulton boys basketball: Bobkatz win Taft Tournament

The Bobkatz went 4-0 and won the Taft tournament last weekend.Moulton 58, Victoria East JV 47Hunter Anderle netted 13 points and sank two treys to lead the Katz to a 58-47 win over Victoria East junior varsity Thursday to start the tournament.

Lady Brahmas drub Shiner, 55-34

SHINER – Nine players scored in the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ 55-34 victory over Shiner Monday, Nov. 24.Hallettsville led 14-3 at the end of the first quarter with Alaina Halata providing six of the points and T’Andra McAfee five.

Brahmas fend off Weimar in 47-43 win

WEIMAR – The Hallettsville Brahmas overcame an eight point halftime deficit and held on at the end to take a 47-43 victory over Weimar Tuesday, Nov. 25 in coach Ryan Barnes’ coaching debut.
