Shiner baseball: Comanches win three at Hallettsville tourney

Shiner won its first district game and went 3-1 in the Hallettsville TournamentShiner 16, Bloomington 0Jake Simper went 4-for-4 with three runs, one home run, double and five RBI to help Shiner post a 16-0 win at Bloomington on March 3 to open district play.

St. Paul softball: Lady Cardinals get win in Flatonia Tournament

The Lady Cardinals were edged by Boerne Geneva and went 1-3 in the Flatonia Tournament last week.Boerne Geneva 9, SP 7Boerne Geneva scored half a dozen runs in the bottom of the fifth and it was enough to rally for a 9-7 win against St. Paul March 3 in Boerne.

Moulton softball: Kittens softball score win over Schulenburg

he Moulton softball team got a win in district and plated in the El Campo subvarsity tournament in recent action.Moulton 17, Schulenburg 15.On Feb. 25, the Kittens defeated Schulenburg in district play.Bethany Kram took the win with six innings, nine hits, four strikeouts and two walks.

YLL Opening Day Games: March 8

The Yoakum Little League (YLL) will hold Opening Day Games March 8 at City Park Field/ Major Boys Field in Yoakum.Both boys and girls games will be played after the ceremony. EL MATON – Tidehaven scored four runs in the fourth inning and went on to a 4-3 victory in the District 25-AAA opener for both teams Tuesday, Feb. 25.Grace Halata was the hard luck loser. She ceded four runs (two unearned) five hits, walked two and struck out five.

AUSTIN - Austin Hyde Park hit five home runs in an 11-5 victory over Sacred Heart Tuesday, Feb. 25.The Lady Panthers hit five home runs in the contest, all five solo shots.Sacred Heart scored all of its runs in the sixth inning.
